Emma Holder (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) with a unique blend of professional experiences. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Literature and Theater from New College of Florida and a Master’s in Social Work from the University of Texas at Austin, where she focused on motivational interviewing, trauma, and attachment theory.
Before pursuing her social work degree, Emma spent over a decade as a teacher, comedian, and writer. This diverse background enriched her understanding of human experiences and inspired her move to social work, where she felt she could make a more direct impact on people’s lives. Emma adopts a collaborative and empathetic approach in her therapy practice, firmly believing that her clients are the experts of their own lives. She feels honored to accompany individuals on their mental health journeys, helping them uncover their strengths and achieve their emotional goals.
Emma has a particular passion for working with adolescents, finding joy in providing them with support and a listening ear. She advocates for self-compassion, humor, and mindfulness as essential elements in personal growth and healing. Outside of her professional life, Emma is a devoted animal lover, especially fond of her dog, Saul Bellow. She is also a passionate advocate for social justice and enjoys engaging in comedy, writing, dancing, and watching reality television.
