Marcy Musgrave (she/her/hers) is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW). With a rich background in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and a deep commitment to her community, Marcy is known for her compassion and dedication to her clients.
Having proudly graduated from Texas A&M, Marcy has spent over two decades in Austin, Texas, where she has created a vibrant life that celebrates diversity, resilience, and joy. As a single mom to five children adopted from foster care, she exemplifies strength and unconditional love, drawing from her experiences to enhance her therapeutic work.
Marcy serves a diverse clientele, finding fulfillment in guiding teens and young adults through the challenges of early adulthood and supporting older adults in reflecting on their life experiences. Her work in parent coaching empowers caregivers to raise resilient children by providing them with essential skills paired with their own unique inner strengths, while her couples therapy sessions focus on fostering understanding and communication to strengthen relationships.
A passionate advocate for the foster and adoption community, Marcy utilizes her personal journey to provide compassionate support and guidance. She also addresses religious trauma, creating a safe space for individuals to explore and heal from their past experiences. Proudly serving the LGBTQ+ community, Marcy offers affirming and inclusive therapy to those seeking support and acceptance.
Outside of her practice, Marcy nurtures her love for nature and family through her urban farm, which includes pigs, chickens, and ducks. She enjoys paddleboarding, playing pickleball, socializing with friends at local coffee shops, and tending to her garden. Most importantly, Marcy cherishes her time spent with her family.
