Hena Hafizullah (she/her) earned her bachelor’s degree in International Political Economy from the University of Texas at Dallas. She began her career in community outreach and advocacy, contributing to various non-profits focused on substance abuse prevention and animal rescue. These experiences eventually led her to discover a deep passion for mental health treatment.
In 2019, Hena relocated to Austin and began working at Phoenix House, a treatment center for teen substance use. Her work there, along with roles at several other treatment centers and behavioral healthcare organizations, reinforced her commitment to helping individuals on a more personal level. Motivated by this drive, she is now pursuing a Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center, with an expected graduation in May 2025. Hena is particularly interested in supporting individuals in breaking cycles of intergenerational trauma using a relational-cultural and DBT approach.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Hena enjoys exploring Austin with her two little dogs, practicing yoga and Pilates, trying out new restaurants, listening to live music, and traveling.
