Fernanda Marin (She/her/hers) is a Licensed Master Social Worker. She received her
undergraduate degree in Social Work from Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas.
Fernanda then went on to earn a Master’s degree in Social Work with a clinical concentration from the University of Texas at Austin.

Fernanda completed her graduate internship at Ascension Seton Shoal Creek inpatient
psychiatric hospital, where she provided clinical case management services to individuals with a variety of clinical diagnoses. She has experience in crisis intervention and counseling and integrates a trauma-informed approach into her practice. Fernanda has worked with youth, individuals, and families that have been affected by child abuse and violence. Fernanda is certified in The Neurosequential Model of Therapeutics (NMT), Child and Family Stress Intervention (CFTSI) and has completed basic training in Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR). EMDR is an evidence-based, effective psychotherapy method that helps people to heal from distressing life experiences/trauma.

Fernanda’s clinical approach is non-judgmental, strengths-based and collaborative. She is
passionate about the power of healthy and safe relationships. She’s honored to be a part of the ADBTA team and get to support clients in reaching their therapeutic goals. Originally from Mexico City, Mexico; Fernanda has lived in Austin for the majority of her life. In her free time, she is most likely spending time in nature and enjoying Austin with friends and
family. She loves reading, paddle boarding, biking, hiking or camping with her fiancé and their three dogs.
