Medication Treatments for PTSD, Anxiety, or Severe Depression

Sometimes a comprehensive mental health plan may require medication treatment.  If that’s the case, we can help.

Medication Therapy

When is psychiatric medication used?

Medication management may help if someone experiences persistent symptoms such as overwhelming sadness, anxiety, PTSD, ADHD, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), or any other significant disruptions to daily life and functioning. It’s important to reach out for support if these symptoms persist or worsen despite attempts to manage them on your own.

How do you know if you need psychiatric medication?

During individual mental health counseling, your therapist or even your primary care physician will assess your history as well as your progress in therapy.

If it’s needed, our therapist will consult with our Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner, and together they may determines that medication is required.  She will do a thorough assessment of your mental health, your physical health, your medical history, and more.

Anxiety and Depression Treatment

What is involved with medication treatments?

Psychiatric medication management involves the careful and personalized administration of medications to treat mental health conditions.

We will determine the most suitable medication and dosage for your specific needs. Throughout the treatment process, we monitor your response to the medication, adjust dosages as necessary, and address any side effects or concerns. Regular follow-up appointments are crucial to assess progress, ensure medication effectiveness, and make any necessary modifications to the treatment plan.

Our staff works to enhance your mental well-being while minimizing potential risks and side effects.
